Salapi Basket derives from the word salapi (Cebuano for "cash") and emulates the banig—a traditional Filipino woven mat symbolizing adaptability, interconnectedness and durability. The Salapi Basket is a collective fund where folks contribute to support various needs as they arise—whether sponsoring clients who need services, supporting individuals with basic expenses, funding operational costs for the community space, or addressing other urgent community priorities.
